Aaron Gordon was born and raised in Maitland, Florida (Orlando area). In 2020, Aaron graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management. At Florida, Aaron served the University’s volleyball team as a student-manager for four seasons assisting the Gators to three SEC titles and four NCAA Tournament appearances, including a historic NCAA Title Game berth. In the offseason, Aaron worked for the Gators’ volleyball camps in a variety of roles including director of camp enrollment, court coach, director of social media, and facilities coordinator. In 2019, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) granted Aaron with the Coaches 4 Coaches Scholarship, funding up-and-coming coaches’ registration and lodging to the AVCA’s annual Convention.
As an aspiring coach, Aaron has coached at multiple levels serving as a player-coach for Florida’s Men’s Club Volleyball team and as an assistant coach for Ocean Bay Volleyball Club and Gainesville Juniors Volleyball. Off the court, Aaron also served the University’s Honors Program as an admissions member and as a student-teacher. For two years, Aaron taught a Volleyball Strategy course through the Honors Program aimed at bridging the knowledge gap between a spectator and coach. Aaron is excited to bring his coaching passion to the CSL and eager to learn more about how to become a greater contributor to the world of sport.
