A native of Lincoln, Rhode Island, Isabella Braga graduated from The Ohio State University in 2017 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Education majoring in Sport Industry. While at Ohio State, she worked in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions as a Diversity Ambassador and was exposed to the importance of an accessible path to higher education for all students. She also worked as a Property Assistant with IMG College to activate and maintain sponsorships for Ohio State Athletics. After graduation, she completed an AmeriCorps service year in Baton Rouge, Louisiana serving as a tutor and mentor in a high-need middle school with City Year. After her service year, she joined Duke University Athletics in 2018 as an Iron Dukes Assistant and later the Iron Dukes Annual Fund Assistant. With the Iron Dukes, Braga strived to aid in securing funding for scholarships, facility improvements, and operating budgets for all 27 varsity programs within Duke Athletics. Her exposure to the many educational inequities in the current U.S. education system inspired her to go down her current path. She will be completing her graduate assistantship working as an Academic Aide at the University of Richmond’s Student-Athlete Academic Support Services.
