Jaide Hinds-Clarke, a native of Westwood, N.J., joins the program after graduating from the University of Richmond. While at the University of Richmond, Hinds-Clarke was a four-year student-athlete on the Women’s Basketball team and held various leadership roles. She worked for the university’s Office of Common, Office of Multicultural Affairs, and Events, Conferences, and Support Services (ECSS). She also served as an intern for the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities (VCIC) for two summers.
Hinds-Clarke co-founded “Shades of Pride” on campus, an affinity group for LGBTQ identifying students of color. She currently serves on the Advisory Board for Return on Inclusion, a sport-specific diversity and inclusion platform dedicated to developing inclusive leaders and fostering a culture of belonging across social and cultural differences. She was recently appointed as a member of the Atlantic 10 Commission on Racial Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
She is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and hopes to continue to pursue her love for creating more inclusive spaces. She comes to CSL excited for the opportunity to grow, learn more about the intersection of sport and social change, and what it takes to be successful in the sports industry. She is excited to continue her work with her alma mater as a graduate assistant for Student-Athlete Leadership Development.
