Jamie Dompier is in her second year of the dual degree Sport Leadership and MBA program. Dompier hails from Baraga, MI where she graduated with magna cum laude honors from Michigan Technological University in December 2017. Jamie received two bachelor’s degrees in Sports and Fitness Management and Management. During her undergrad, she was a sprinter on the women’s track and field team where she is currently a part of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay records and holds the 200-meter record. She earned GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team honors for three seasons and was a recipient of the NCAA 2017-18 Division II Degree-Completion Award. After graduating, she stayed at Michigan Tech to continue working in the Athletic Department and serve as an assistant coach for the men’s and women’s track and field teams before coming to VCU. In her first year at VCU, she served as a graduate assistant for VCU’s men’s and women’s track and field teams where she was a part of the coaching staff to see the women’s team win their third straight A-10 Indoor Conference Championship title. Since May, Dompier has served as the Business Services GA for VCU Athletics. After graduation in 2020, she plans to pursue a career in Business Operations for college athletics.
