Maddie Burns was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She graduated from Randolph-Macon College in 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and a minor in Communications Studies. She was a four-year member of the women’s soccer team at R-MC and was named an Academic All-American. Maddie also served as a representative on the Division III Management Council and is currently Chair of the NCAA Division III National Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Prior to attending VCU’s graduate program, Maddie held internships with Atlanta United FC in Atlanta, GA and Relevent Sports in Manhattan, NY. She is eager to learn more about careers in athletics and is excited to join the Athletic Development Team as a graduate assistant for the 2019-2020 academic year.
