Robert Foley

Job title: Adjunct faculty

Bob Foley has coached boys and girls basketball at every level over the past 40 years. He spent 11 years in the Philadelphia area (1967 - 1978) coaching middle school and high school boys. The next 24 years were spent coaching women at the Division 1 College level where he won over 400 games and coached in 10 NCAA tournaments. His coaching stops included the University of Colorado (1978-80), Penn State (1980-85), Providence College (1985-96), and the University of Richmond (1996-2002). His teams were known for their up-tempo style and won 10 Big East and 4 CAA scoring titles. His 1991 Providence College team still holds the NCAA scoring record for women, averaging 96.7 points per game.

Bob is presently the owner and director of Next Level Basketball and holds basketball camps and clinics throughout the Richmond area for boys and girls of all ages. Coach Foley has been widely recognized by his peers as one of the most outstanding teachers of the fundamentals in the game today. He also hosts recruiting seminars in the Richmond area to assist student-athletes and their parents through the recruiting process.

Bob is married to Louise Foley who has also coached basketball at the college level (Brown and Dartmouth), High School, and AAU level over the past 20 years and is currently the Activities Director at Mills Godwin High School. They have 4 children: Lauren (22), Bobby (20; a junior at Princeton), Michelle (18: a freshman at the University of Virginia) and Danny (16; a sophomore at Godwin High School).
