Ashton Whalen was born in Jacksonville, Florida but grew up in Greenfield,

Indiana. Ashton attended Ball State University where he graduated Cum Laude

with a Bachelor of Science in Sport Administration with a Minor in The

Foundations of Management, earning Dean’s list every semester. While at BSU,

Ashton was the Executive Vice President of Internal Relations for the Sport

Administration Association (SAA). While with SAA, he controlled their social

media presence, growing their following and allowing new people across campus

to come to events and grow the club. Ashton was also an intern with the Athletics

Marketing team at Ball State for three years. He completed over 100 events in

those three years, amassing over 1000 hours of experience. His passion for

working and creating unforgettable fan experiences stayed with him, ultimately

leading him to VCU, where he now serves as the Graduate Assistant for

Marketing and Fan Experience at the University of Richmond while pursuing his

Masters in Sport Leadership. He is ecstatic to continue his education while doing

everything he can to gain more experience and grow as a professional.
