Brianna Sams
Brianna Sams is from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She attended Averett University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Sports Administration with a minor in Sports Communications. During her time at Averett, she earned President’s List and Dean’s List honors every semester and was a member of Chi Alpha Sigma. While at Averett, she was a two-sport student-athlete, serving as captain of the Women’s Basketball team and competing on the Women’s Lacrosse team. She also gained valuable experience through internships with Averett University Athletics and the Ripken Experience, supporting game-day operations, athletic communications, tournament operations, and event management.
Beyond athletics, she was involved in student organizations, including the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and the Captains and Leadership Committee. She also served as President of Sister 4 Sister. She was selected to represent Averett University at the 2025 NCAA Career in Sports Forum, the 2025 We Impact Virginia Summit, and the 2025 ODAC Women in Sports Symposium.
Her graduate assistantship is with the Ram Athletic Fund. She looks forward to learning from her classmates and the VCU community while expanding her knowledge of the sports industry and continuing to grow as a leader.
