Emory Bender
Emory Bender is from Richmond, VA. He attended the University of Florida, and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Media Production, Management, and Technology. While studying at UF, Bender earned substantial experience through multiple roles with the Gators baseball program. He spent three years as a student manager, developing a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations needed to run a college baseball program. He then transferred over to a data analyst role with the program, developing operational and analytical skills within the baseball realm.
In addition to his work with the Florida baseball team, Emory served as the head coach for the Florida Club Basketball Orange Team. Through this role, Emory gained skills in leadership, team management, and athletic development. Emory currently serves as aGraduate Assistant with the VCU baseball team while earning his master’s degree through VCU’s Center for Sport Leadership. Through the program and his continued work in college athletics, he is focused on building a strong and inside-out understanding of the sports industry. While he remains open to exploring different professional opportunities, Emory hopes to build his career in the baseball industry and continue combining his experiences in athletics, leadership, management, and data analytics.
