Gibran Godfrey
Gibran Godfrey is from Chesapeake, Virginia. He attended Virginia State University, where he earned a B.S. in Mass Communications with a minor in Business Management. He also attended University of Oregon, where he earned a M.S. in Journalism. During his time at VSU, he gained valuable experience in college athletics as an intern for the Athletics Department as a photographer and he worked alongside the Sports Information Director as a student assistant. He also gained a great amount of experience working for the Women’s Basketball team at VSU as a student manager. While attending Oregon, Gibran worked as a student photographer in the Digital Media Department on the football team.
He currently serves as the VCU Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant for Men’s and Women’s Tennis. Gibran is ecstatic about continuing his development in the sports industry both collegiately and one day professionally.
