Gideon Seip
Gideon joins the VCU CSL Program as a Graduate Assistant in Marketing and Promotions for
VCU Athletics. A December 2024 graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of
Science in Sports Management, Gideon brings a wide range of experience in the sports industry
to his role with the Rams.
Before arriving at VCU, Gideon served two years with the Wilmington Sharks Baseball Club as
a Front Office Intern in the first year and was then brought on full-time as the Community
Outreach Manager, where he energized fan engagement, coordinated community events, and
built relationships throughout the Wilmington area. His background also includes scouting and
field management for Perfect Game Baseball USA, along with valuable roles supporting ESPN,
the Atlantic-10 Conference, Old Dominion Athletics, and Kinloch Golf Club.
Originally from Hanover, Virginia, Gideon played baseball his entire life and developed a
lifelong passion for the game, which continues to fuel his work in athletics. With a deep
knowledge of sports operations, marketing, and community relations, Gideon is committed to
bringing innovation, energy, and connection to the VCU fan experience.
