School of Business

Laci Johnson was born and raised in Herndon, Virginia. She graduated from the University of the District of Columbia (UDC) with a Bachelor of Business Administration, concentrating in Marketing. While at UDC, Laci was recognized as the Top Marketing Student within the School of Business and Public Administration. She was also a four-year member of the basketball team, earning an All-Conference selection in the East Coast Conference and being named team MVP for the 2024–25 season. Beyond athletics, she served on the executive board of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as Social Media Manager. Laci is a proud member of Beta Gamma Sigma, Tau Sigma, and Chi Alpha Sigma honor societies, recognizing her excellence in business, academics, and athletics. During her senior year, she completed an internship at Destination DC, the official tourism office of Washington, D.C., where she served as the Sports and Events Intern. Currently, she is a graduate assistant for VCU Women’s Basketball, assisting with internal operations. Over the next two years, Laci will pursue both her MBA and Master of Sport Leadership. She looks forward to building meaningful relationships with her classmates and continuing to elevate women in sport worldwide!
