Madison Murphy
Madison Murphy is originally from Springfield, Virginia, and graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and minors in sales and fitness management. During her undergraduate career, she distinguished herself through academic performance, earning Dean’s List honors for multiple semesters. She also served as vice president of Pi Sigma Epsilon, a professional fraternity focused on marketing, sales, and business development. This leadership position strengthened her skills in communication, collaboration, organization, and relationship-building.
Madison currently serves as a Marketing Graduate Assistant for VCU Athletics while pursuing a dual Master of Sport Leadership and Master of Business Administration degree. Through this position, she is gaining hands-on experience in collegiate athletics and learning how marketing strategies can strengthen a program’s identity, engage fans, and support the goals of an athletic department. Her graduate studies are expanding her understanding of leadership, management, and the business of sports.
Her long-term goal is to build a career in social media or marketing within the NFL or NBA. She is interested in creating engaging digital content, developing strong brand identities, and helping sports teams develop meaningful relationships with their fans. Madison hopes to combine her creativity, business knowledge, and passion for sports to contribute to innovative marketing campaigns and memorable fan experiences. She is eager to continue learning from industry professionals, taking on new challenges, and developing into a well-rounded leader who can make a positive impact in the professional sports industry while representing every organization she joins with professionalism, enthusiasm, integrity, and a team-first mindset.
