Nakaela Harris
Nakaela Harris is from North Little Rock, Arkansas. She attended Old Dominion University, where she earned a B.S. in Strategic Communication. During her time at ODU, she gained valuable experience with ODU Athletics through internships with the Athletics Social Media and Communications departments. Through these experiences, she developed skills in sports communications, marketing, social media, and photography. She was also a part of the ODU Creative Lead Team, where she further developed her skills in content creation and creative media while gaining hands-on experience within collegiate athletics. During her time at ODU, she also had the opportunity to work with the men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and women’s tennis programs.
She currently serves as an Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant at Virginia Commonwealth University while pursuing her graduate degree through VCU’s Center for Sport Leadership program. Nakaela is passionate about photography, social media, and creative content. She is eager to continue enhancing her skills while building her network with current and future leaders in the sports industry.
