Ben Snyder
Ben Snyder returns to VCU as an adjunct professor where he teaches Events & Sport Tourism. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from Messiah College (2008) in Pennsylvania before attending the Center for Sport Leadership at VCU, completing the dual-degree program to receive his MBA and M. Ed in Sport Leadership (2013).
Ben currently serves as the Executive Director of the Grand Junction Sports Commission located in western Colorado. He has been in the sports tourism industry for the last ten years, previously leading the Corporate Games as a rights holder. Prior roles include working with the US Olympic and Paralympic Committee in Colorado Springs, the World Police & Fire Games in Fairfax, Virginia, and other contract event roles across the country. Ben spent four years working in Minor League Baseball for three different teams, in addition to two years of collegiate athletics while at VCU. During the winter season, Ben officiates high school basketball in Colorado.
