Kelly McAnally

Job title: Adjunct faculty

Kelly McAnally is the Senior VP of Operations for The First Tee of Greater Richmond, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. In her role, Kelly is responsible for facility operations at both the Tattersall Youth Development Center at The First Tee Chesterfield Golf Course and the Elson Redmond Memorial Driving Range downtown. Her focus is to ensure high-quality operations at all facilities while increasing facility patronage through the development and implementation of creative and proactive initiatives. She also oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and leads, recruits, and develops operational staff, program staff, grounds staff, and volunteers. 

Before joining The First Tee of Greater Richmond in March 2018, Kelly worked for IMG where she was a Tournament Director for LPGA events, most recently the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic in Green Bay, WI where her primary responsibilities included developing and pitching corporate sponsorships, managing tournament operations and logistics, and serving as the liaison to the LPGA, title sponsor, host facility, city officials, media affiliates, and various other internal and external stakeholders. Other responsibilities throughout the year included developing strategies for revenue generation, collaborating with event and host facility staff, forecasting and planning the annual event budget, and providing story lines to local and regional media outlets. Kelly will use her professional experience and knowledge as the foundation for the Sport and Entertainment Event Development course. 

She received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Longwood University where she was a member of the women's golf team. She earned her Masters of Education in Sport Leadership at VCU.
