Tanya Forneris, Ph.D.

Job title: Adjunct faculty

In addition to her role at the Center for Sport Leadership at VCU, Tanya Forneris, Ph.D., also serves as an assistant professor at the University of Ottawa in Canada. She obtained her Master's degree in Sport Psychology from the University of New Brunswick, and her Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from VCU. She now teaches courses in sport psychology, research methods, quantitative data analysis, physical activity and community health, and youth development through sport. In addition, Forneris actively researches in the areas of developing, implementing and evaluating national and international positive youth development programs and female adolescent health and well-being.
