Ashleigh was born and raised in Winterville, North Carolina. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she earned a degree in Sports Administration and a degree in Advertising and Public Relations. Ashleigh started her career in sports as a USA Volleyball referee at 16 years old and is entering her seventh season as a referee. She spent two years as a recruiting and operations intern for Carolina Football. Her graduate assistantship is with Richmond Region Tourism
