Hussein Alhassan

Hussein was born in Ghana's capital city of Accra and received his undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). He acquired an interest in broadcasting while at UPSA and later had the opportunity to work with some of Ghana's most reputable media organizations, gaining many award nominations and becoming one of his country's most respected sport anchors from 2013 to 2018. In November 2018, he left full-time media in search of a new challenge to work at his alma mater the University of Professional Studies Accra, where he taught undergraduate courses in Sport Marketing and designed tailor-made courses for practitioners in the Sport Industry. He has served as a training consultant for the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) and as an expert resource for BBC Africa Radio and CGTN-Africa. Hussein has talked and offered his thoughts on a variety of global stages, including the World Football Summit-Africa and the AfroSport Summit. He is the Founder and current President of the Bissa Fitness Club Ghana, a fitness club that uses sport as a vehicle to effect social change. He aspires to be a prominent global sport industry leader through the Center for Sport Leadership as well as a professor to continue to educate the next generation of sport leaders.
