Ian Mott

Ian Mott was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He attended Clemson University and graduated in 2022 with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology. While at Clemson, Ian was a member of the club tennis team and participated in intramural sports. Deciding to pursue his lifelong interest in sports, he also completed a minor in Athletic Leadership and received the NFHS Football Coaching Certification. In high school, Ian was the captain of the Huguenot High School baseball team and participated in a wide variety of individual and team sports, including soccer, squash, and golf. While in college, he interned at Richmond Baseball Academy South where he assisted with travel team tryouts, tracked student-athlete game time sheets to prevent overuse injuries, and completed bookkeeping duties. Currently, Ian is a Graduate Assistant with the Development Office and Ram Athletic Fund, while also pursuing a Dual Master’s Degree in Sport Leadership and a Master’s in Business Administration. He is interested in the business aspects of sports and in expanding participation and outreach to grow and strengthen sports programs.
